The government has named 12 universities and research institutes to deliver the £54 million Global Talent Fund, administered by UK Research and Innovation. Institutions will receive equal shares to recruit 60–80 lead researchers and teams in eight priority Industrial Strategy sectors, with flexibility to cover visa and relocation costs for researchers and dependents.
