- optical and electrical characterization of quantum cascade lasers (QCL) from compounds AIII– BV

- development and construction of optical measuring systems for testing QCL laser beams

- QCL near and far field testing and analysis of the results obtained

- theoretical description of physical phenomena in the examined structures

Benefits

 

  • Duration of contract: 12 months
  • Form of employment: scholarship
  • Financing amount: PLN 8,300 per month (gross)
  • The opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary team of experienced scientists and engineers specializing in, among others in physics and chemistry of semiconductors, laser physics and microtechnology.
  • It is possible to extend employment after the internship, depending on the results obtained.

  • REQUIRED LANGUAGES
    ENGLISH: Good

Skills/Qualifications

- doctoral degree obtained in the last seven years in physics or electronics,

- knowledge of semiconductor physics, including semiconductor laser physics

- knowledge of laser beam optics

- experience in building measuring systems

- experience in conducting numerical simulations

- documented scientific and research achievements and publications in world magazines

- good (spoken and written) English

- independence, good organization of work, ability to work in a team

- participation in the implementation of research projects (e.g. from NCN or NCBiR sources) will be an additional advantage

- an additional advantage will be knowledge of the LabView environment as well as the software used for data analysis, and knowledge of languages ​​and software used for numerical simulations (C ++ language, PhotonDesign Fimmwave and Matlab or SciLab, Origin)
