The British Council has launched a prestigious fellowship for women STEM researchers to undertake an Early Academic Fellowship at a leading UK university.
The British Council Women in STEM Early Academic Fellowship is aimed at women from Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam who have good levels of English, have recently received their PhD and can demonstrate the need for financial support to continue their research.
The Early Academic Fellowship aims to provide the women with a foundation to launch their careers in higher education and research in their home country and to take a key role in the advocacy of girls and women in STEM in their home country.
Offering a comprehensive package of benefits, including financial support and support for mothers, these Fellowships aim to tackle some of the barriers standing in the way of women pursuing careers in STEM.
