Job description:

• Conducting research on the development of innovative food preservation techniques,

• Scientific work in projects related to bioconservation in food and feed production,

• Research on the properties of microorganisms, genetic characteristics of industrial microorganisms,

• Developing new analytical methods and implementing them into laboratory practice,

• Publishing scientific papers,

• Submission of grant applications for conducting research

Expectations:

• University or college degree in food research (food technology, food biotechnology or food chemistry)

• Willingness to scientific development,

• Published min. 2 papers in peer-reviewed journals, including a minimum of 1 paper in English,

• Share in min. 3 scientific conferences,

• Share in min. 2 scientific projects or projects in cooperation with food industry companies,

• minimum one year of professional experience in a research unit or laboratory in conducting scientific research,

• Knowledge of innovative food preservation methods,

• Experience in the use of microbial cultures for the production of microbiological preparations,

• Knowledge of issues related to fermentation processes, especially winemaking technology,

• Very good practical and theoretical knowledge of issues related to microbiology

and food biotechnology (experience in working with microorganisms, knowledge of molecular biology techniques),

• Experience in working with bacterial viruses, knowledge of techniques for isolating bacteriophages

and experience in their characteristics,

• The ability to think analytically and research planning,

• High self-motivation and predisposition to scientific work,

• Good knowledge of English,

• Good knowledge of statistical programs, eg Statistica.
