RESCOLL is a private company (150 people, 16 M€ turnover) which carries out research services specialized in technological innovation and testing of materials and systems. In constant growth since its creation, the company regularly reinforces its commercial teams to maintain its progress.
RESCOLL's services are organized around 3 axes:
1. Research and Development: services to develop or improve a product and/or a process
2. Analysis and characterization: one-off or annual contracts for the characterization of materials, quality control of raw materials and finished products (chemical analyses, mechanical tests, accelerated ageing, fire resistance, etc.).
3. Manufacturing: through its subsidiaries RESCOLL Manufacturing (machining and assembly) and STILZ Chimie (manufacture of paints, adhesives, varnishes and inks)
RESCOLL is involved in projects with the major French and European companies and offers services of a high technical and quality level.
Attached to the research and development services department, which carries out technical studies on behalf of its customers, the candidate will work on virtual testing, specifically on the mechanical phenomena of fast dynamics.
The candidate’s mission will consist in particular of:
Supporting the R&D team with knowledge in physics and mechanics as well as experience in virtual testing.
Carry out R&D projects in the fields of fast dynamics (laser shock, head impact criteria testing, drop tower ...).
Set up and carry out virtual tests in the field of fast dynamics and validate models with empirical data.
Set up and carry out machine learning studies and validate models.
Exchange with academic partners
Participate in the design of test benches
Occasional trips in France and abroad to be planned.
Engineer or Ph.D. specialized in the field of physics and mechanics of fast dynamics, possessing a mastery of virtual testing and, ideally, experience in machine learning (especially in TensorFlow). The candidate should have knowledge in the use of LS-DYNA, and in CAD and/or basic simulation on Solidworks. Experience in simulation with Abaqus is a plus.
The candidate must possess knowledge and skills enabling the comprehension and interpretation of shock mechanisms and their effects upon materials. Solid experience in the field is required, especially in the handling of test benches.
The candidate must be able to work in a team, manage projects, and develop the necessary means for them.
The candidate must be rigorous, able to organize and plan their work, and ensure its follow-up in a standardized environment of quality and confidentiality, while meeting deadlines. The candidate must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in French (or need to lean French quickly) and English.
